Resurrection and Return

Resurrection and Return is the fourth book in the Magnum Opus series, and chronicles my life from the Summer of 1988 onwards, after the completion of A Levels, where unlike the previous two years we did not immediately embark on a foreign holiday at the end of the school year, but stayed at home in Peterborough. I worked that Summer for the agency, Extra Staff, and then we went on holiday to Scotland at the end of August. Much of this book is concerned with what follows - the 3+ years of university in London. Being away from home was not a particular shock for me, as I was ready for it, but in those first weeks I met some people, early friends, one of whom quit because of home sickness, and another of whom had to go home because his Dad had lost his job, or maybe died. I made firmer, more long-term friends as the term went on, and somewhat to my parents shock, no doubt, invited them all to Peterborough in the New Year! The book covers the rest of university, including the Easter holidays in Spain of 1989 and 1991, and the working for halls in the Summer of 1991, before I started my ill-fated Masters. Abandoning this in December 1991, I returned home to Peterborough.
